Have Questions?

We love curious investors! Here are the Frequently Asked Questions. If there is something we haven’t covered, please don’t hesitate to drop us a message or book a quick call. We will be happy to help.

Q: What is Financial Radiance?

A: Financial Radiance is in the Personal Finance Space, dealing primarily with mutual funds, term insurance and health insurance. We help individuals and families make smart, long-term investment decisions through structured and transparent processes.

Q: Are you a SEBI-registered advisor?

A: No. We are an AMFI-registered Mutual Fund Distributor. We do not charge fees; instead, we receive standard commissions from mutual fund companies for the regular plans we distribute. For the client, there are no additional costs. All costs related to the research software, portfolio reporting software and operational costs for running the firm are borne by us.

Q: What services do you offer?

A: We focus primarily on mutual fund distribution, offering research-backed fund recommendations, periodic portfolio reviews, and ongoing client servicing. In addition to mutual funds, Financial Radiance provides a range of other financial services. You can explore the complete list here: https://www.financialradiance.com/our-services.

Q: What makes Financial Radiance different?

A: We believe in a relationship-first approach, not transaction-based selling. We spend time understanding your investment objectives and risk profile before making any recommendation.

Q: Do you handle other products like insurance or stocks?

A: We specialise in mutual funds and don’t advise or deal directly in stocks, as that needs a very specialised and focused research team. We offer term insurance, health insurance, and a few other products. You can explore the complete list here: https://www.financialradiance.com/our-services.

Q: Who is the founder of Financial Radiance?

A: Financial Radiance is led by a small, dedicated team that focuses on personal attention, client relationships, and disciplined research-driven investments. The founder of the firm, Rajesh Minocha, is an MBA (Finance) from JBIMS, Mumbai and a Certified Financial Planner with over 30 years of domain experience in finance.

Q: How is Financial Radiance different from Banks and large financial intermediaries that also provide the same service?

A: At Financial Radiance, we go beyond just offering investment products. We build long-term relationships centred on your financial well-being. Founded in 2016 by a seasoned professional with extensive experience in the mutual fund industry, Financial Radiance combines deep market insight with the globally recognised Certified Financial Planner (CFP®) qualification. This allows us to provide holistic, unbiased, and personalised financial guidance. Our focus is not on short-term transactions but on being your trusted partner through every stage of your financial journey.

Q: How do I start investing with Financial Radiance?

A: Just reach out to us! We will schedule an introductory call to understand your investment objectives, risk profile, and preferences before onboarding you digitally. Alternatively, you can also set up your meeting by clicking this link: Book Now

Q: What documents do I need to start?

A: You will need your PAN, Aadhaar, cancelled cheque, and nominee details. We handle the rest online through the BSE Star MF platform. The links for sending the details are provided here:

– For Resident Indians: Account Opening Form

– For Non-Resident Indians: Account Opening Form (Only for NRIs)

Q: Is the onboarding process fully digital?

A: Yes. Everything, right from KYC verification to bank mandate registration. Everything happens online for your convenience.

Q: What is KYC, and how do you handle it?

A: Know Your Customer (KYC) is a mandatory regulatory requirement. We help you complete this digitally through verified AMC links or KYC partners.

Q: Do I need to sign any physical forms?

A: In most cases, no. You will only need to provide e-approvals through OTPs or scanned copies of the forms.

Q: How long does onboarding take?

A: Usually 1 to 3 working days, depending on KYC status.

Q: How do you decide which mutual funds to recommend?

A: We follow a structured and research-driven process. Every six months, we review fund categories, fund manager track records, and AMC performance using our proprietary research tool. This detailed study, which takes approximately a month to complete, helps us create a whitelist of well-performing funds. From this, we shortlist schemes best suited to each client’s objectives, risk appetite, and time horizon.

Q: There is a lot of discussion about Index funds and ETFs. Do you invest in those?

A: Index funds are passive-based investing. Yes, we do recommend index funds if they are more suitable for clients and if they generate higher returns than active-based investing. In our client’s portfolios, we have been providing large-cap-based index funds. ETFs are also index funds, but they need to be purchased through a demat account. ETFs are traded in real-time, while mutual funds are processed at the end of each trading day. However, for long-term investors, this timing difference has minimal impact on overall returns.

Q: How often do you review portfolios?

A: We encourage our clients to schedule at least one annual review with us, or sooner if there is a significant change in fund management or investment objectives. Additionally, if there is a substantial change in the client’s personal or professional life, we recommend reaching out right away so we can assess whether your existing portfolio still aligns with your updated requirements.

Q: Do you recommend SIPs, lump sum, or both?

A: Both. For long-term goals, we prefer SIPs. For large lump sum amounts, we typically invest funds in debt schemes first and then utilise Systematic Transfer Plans (STPs). There is always an opportunity to switch money from a debt fund to an equity fund, provided the market offers an opportunity.

Q: What happens if I want to invest in a scheme of my choice?

A: We are happy to discuss your choice. If it aligns with your goals and risk profile, we will proceed; if not, we will explain why we recommend an alternative.

Q: Can I track my investments online?

A: Yes! You get 24/7 access to your portfolio through the Mint by Investwell app and website, where you can view performance, transactions, and reports.

Q: How are transactions executed?

A: All transactions go through BSE Star MF, one of India’s most trusted and secure platforms for mutual fund execution.

Q: What is the difference between Direct and Regular plans?

A: In Direct plans, investors transact directly with the AMC. In Regular plans, you invest through intermediaries. They earn commission from the AMCs for servicing and suitability-checked recommendations.

Q: Why should I choose Regular plans through Financial Radiance?

A: Because we add value through need-based investments, evaluating risk, fund research, transaction execution, providing India’s top mobile App, portfolio reviews, and continuous guidance. With Direct plans, you are on your own. Although it may be cheaper in cost, you could pay a much higher price if you don’t take recommendations and review recommendations from professionals like us.

Q: Do Regular plans have higher costs?

A: Yes, the Regular plan has additional costs for the services that intermediaries provide. However, there is no extra cost to the investor.

Q: Can you help me switch from Direct to Regular plans?

A: Yes, we can guide you through the process if you wish to consolidate your portfolio and get professional support. We will also review your portfolio and consider the tax implications if you have some funds that are not aligned with your goals, time horizon, and risk appetite.

Q: Are your commissions disclosed?

A: Absolutely. We believe in complete transparency. Our website lists the commission range across categories, and you can also request details at any time. The details are also provided in this link: www.financialradiance.com/disclosure

Q: How do you handle client service requests?

A: We maintain a dedicated service tracking system at Zoho CRM. Most queries are resolved the same day, and all updates are shared through WhatsApp or email.

Q: How can I schedule a portfolio review or discussion?

A: You can easily book a slot through our Zoho meetings link: Book Meeting. We prefer scheduled reviews, but are also available for urgent discussions.

Q: What are your working hours?

A: Typically 9 AM to 8 PM (India time). We also accommodate NRIs in different time zones, including evenings or weekends when needed.

Q: How do you communicate essential updates?

A: We share them via WhatsApp broadcasts and emails. If there is a client-specific update, we schedule a call to discuss it.

Q: How do you handle feedback or complaints?

A: We welcome all feedback! We conduct annual feedback and incorporate any suggestions and improvements. Regular queries and complaints are solved within two working days, and an update is provided to clients through the Zoho CRM platform.

Q: How safe is my personal and financial information?

A: Very safe. We utilise secure systems, such as BSE Star MF, Investwell and Zoho, all of which adhere to high data protection standards. They ensure complete data protection through ISO-certified Indian data centres, encrypted communication, dual-factor authentication, and multi-layered security protocols against unauthorised access and cyber threats.

Q: Where is my data stored?

A: All client data is stored on the BSE Star MF, Investwell and Zoho platforms, which are very safe.

Q: Do you share my information with anyone?

A: Never. Client confidentiality is of the utmost importance to us, and data is shared with employees on a need-to-know basis. Every employee also signs the confidential and non-disclosure agreement before joining our firm. We share your data only with authorised platforms strictly for investment execution.

Q: What measures do you take against fraud?

A: We only accept transactions through your registered bank account, ensuring there is no scope for third-party fund misuse. All transactions get processed only through OTP authentication by the clients.

Q: Have there been any data breaches or fraud incidents?

A: None. We are proud to maintain a 100% clean record since inception.

Q: What is the minimum investment amount requirement by Financial Radiance?

A: It depends on the scheme, typically ₹500 for SIPs and ₹5,000 for lump sums.

Q: How do you earn if you don’t charge clients?

A: We earn a trail commission from AMCs. This doesn’t come from your investment amount and is already part of the mutual fund’s expense ratio.

Q: Do you work with NRIs?

A: Yes, we have several NRI clients across geographies and are fully equipped to handle their onboarding and investments online.

Q: What if I move abroad or change my bank account?

A: Just let us know. We will help you update details in the system seamlessly.

Q: Can I stop or change my SIP anytime?

A: Yes, SIPs can be paused, increased, or stopped anytime. We will guide you through the quick online steps.

Q: Can I redeem my investments anytime?

A: Most mutual funds are flexible, though some have exit loads or lock-ins. We will inform you of these before any redemption.

Q: I have already invested in Mutual Funds. Can you help me review the portfolio?

A: Sure. Please click the Portfolio Review link and upload your portfolio.

Q: Experts suggest that before investing, we should do Risk Profiling. Do you assess Risk appetite?

A: We can help in risk assessment even when you are not our client. Please click the Risk Profile and submit the Questionnaire.
